COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Our Client, a wireless telecommunication and mobile phone services company is seeking a Manager, Budgeting. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Manager, Budgeting is responsible for managing the preparation and delivery of the company’s annual budget and periodic forecasts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze and develop budget policies and procedures, recommend enhancements to improve efficiencies and maintain with an effective system of internal controls
Manage, coordinate, and participate in the development of company’s annual budgets and periodic forecasts, period end and various reporting packages
Compile and forecast revenue, expense and capital budgets and determine variances of actual performance against approved business plan(s)
Liaise with internal departments to ensure budgets are accurate and provide feedback regarding expenses, revenue contributions and variances of budgeted costs
Prepare, evaluate and present budget summary reports and recommendations for management review
Identify continuous improvement opportunities for financial reporting
Perform high level and ad-hoc projects as required
Provide leadership, performance and career development of direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES

Must have a CA, CMA, CGA designation or in the final stages of completion
Must have at least 7 years experience in budgeting, accounting or related finance field
Enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Detail oriented with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and build relationships at all levels across the organization
Highly proficient in Microsoft applications, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
Must have experience in a project management environment
Must have strong communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
A background in subscriptions would be an asset
