TREASURY REPRESENTATIVE (12 month contract)
Contract Position: 12 months with potential for permanent placement
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Dependant on experience ($30-$50/hour)
Location: Toronto
Reports to: Manager, Treasury
The Opportunity:
Our client, a publicly traded metal and mining company, is looking for a Treasury Representative to join their finance group as a member of the SAP implementation team. Prior experience with SAP implementation is a requirement. The role will interface with the cash management analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the inter-relationships between treasury and other financial processes
- Prior experience and understanding of commercial banking and electronic banking terms, applications and services
- Knowledge of Treasury best practices for Internal audit and SOX compliance purposes
- Prior experience in implementing a financial system for a multinational company
- Treasury operational experience in multiple organizations
- Mining experience is an asset
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Candidate must be flexible, assertive, a quick learner and have an adaptive personality
Required Skill Set:
- Understand and conceptualize current Treasury and Cash Management processes and make recommendations for future enhancements
- Managing cash receipts, dispersements, all banking relations and ensuring maintenance of money, financial analysis
- Ensuring process and improvements of SAP have been done
- SAP Experience: Part of the mapping exercises, chart of accounts and SAP ERP implementation including UAT (user acceptance testing) for new programs and validation of data for upgrade
Education & Technical Skills:
- Must be a designated accountant or close to completion of a designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
- Must have a minimum of 3-4 years experience in a similar role (Treasury)CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) is REQUIREDPrior experience with SAP Implementation is REQUIREDKnowledge of Treasury/Cash Management systems such as GTM
- Experience working with banking applications such as JPM insight, JPM access, Scotia Connect is preferable
