Supervisor
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 (dependant on experience) + bonus potential (up to 10%)
Location: Toronto
Reports to: Senior Manager or Partner
Our client, a public accounting firm, is looking for a Supervisor. The Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Managing and leading Review and Notice to Reader engagements engagements for a variety of clients in different industries, with a focus on private companies, especially long term care and retirement homes
- Managing "full file"
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and make recommendations to improve individual or establishment’s accounting and management practices
- Provide due diligence, corporate tax, business advisory services and consulting services
- Prepare corporate tax returns
- Prepare year-end audit working papers, consolidated annual financial statements, conduct analysis of Canadian GAAP
- Draft financial statement note disclosures
- Advise on financial processes, internal controls and efficiency improvements
- Training, managing and evaluation of staff
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be a designated Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Must have 1 – 2 years experience in a similar role
- Must have strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP
- Must have corporate and personal tax experience
- Must have a proven track record of building and managing client relationships
- Must possess exceptional technical skills
- A keen attention to detail along with an ability to focus on the overall concepts
- The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced & changing environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to providing excellent client service
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
