Senior Financial Analyst, Tax and Treasury
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 (dependant on experience) + bonus potential
Location: GTA
Reports to: Controller
Our Client, a large document management company, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Accounting team. The role will focus 50/50 on Tax and Treasury responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Tax:
- Prepare quarterly tax provisions
- Perform account reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare annual tax returns, corporate T2 and HST
- Perform coordination of tax audits
- Participate and assist in developing, researching and implementing tax plans and strategies
- Maintain familiarity with all phases of Canadian tax ensuring awareness of legislative changes which may have major impact on the Company’s tax position
Treasury:
- Calculate daily cash flow
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Perform coordination of wires
- Liaise with bank
- Coordinate changes in signing authority
- Ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications
- Ideal: CA, CGA or CMA with CICA In-depth Tax Course completed (or well in progress to complete) or at minimum an accounting designation
- Relevant Canadian tax compliance and provision experience
- Must have experience preparing and reviewing deferred tax asset and liability provisions for both corporate tax and sales tax
