MANAGER, FINANCIAL REPORTING
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 (dependant on experience)
Location: GTA
Reports to: Director of Finance
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director-Finance, this position will be responsible for all areas related to financial reporting at the Company. The main responsibilities will include maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reports.
Responsibilities:

Accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual financial results

Preparing and reviewing working documents to assist in the external audit process

Proactively managing misstatement risk areas to ensure limited year-end adjustments

Preparing statutory Financial Statements

Complying with regulatory requirements under IFRS and Group Accounting Policies

Maintaining accurate accounts by reviewing and identifying any changes required to chart of accounts

Preparing and reviewing all necessary journal entries to adjust the general ledger on a monthly basis

Supervising 4 financial reporting staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Professional accounting designation (CA or CGA) required or close to completion
- Minimum of 5 years of audit experience
- Experience in mining or natural resource industry is an asset
- Experience with major ERP systems, SAP proficiency is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools and strong Excel skills required
