FUND ADMINISTRATOR (INVESTOR SERVICES)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 / year (dependant on experience)
Location: GTA
Reports to: CFO
The Opportunity
A progressive and growing fund administration company based in downtown Toronto is seeking a full-time fund administrator to assist with Investor Services.
Responsibilities
- Dealing with all “back-end” fund administration – all processing and administration functions
- Monthly reconciliation of accounts including follow up to resolve any discrepancies
- Processing subscription requests
- Processing investor requests to buy and sell units in the funds
- Communicating with fund managers to follow up on discrepancies, request additional information, etc.
- Dealing with all enquiries from fund managers, from investors and from internal team
- Portfolio reconciliations
- Assisting to improve the administration process and back-end operation
- Identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending process improvements
- Performing ad-hoc projects to improve processes
Qualifications
- Must possess fund administration experience (preferably hedge fund)
- Experience in the dealer environment (and the relevant processes, systems and tools)
- Experience in FundServ
- Experience with Canadian Managers
- Experience with Canadian High Net Worth Investors and Institutions
- Strong customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Advanced computer skills including strong Excel skills
- Self-motivated, detailed oriented, accurate and efficient
- Team-player, willing to learn new skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Enjoys working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience working with large volumes of information
- Flexibility and drive to assist with process changes during the company’s current business expansion
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure and deliver results
- Ability to work and succeed in a stressful environment (demanding clients and time sensitive deliverables)
- Must possess good judgment
- Versatility in terms of assisting with a variety of tasks
