FINANCIAL ANALYST (6 - 12 month contract)

Contract Position: 6-12 months with potential to go longer
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $30 - $35/hour + HST
Reports to: Manager, Finance
The Opportunity:
Our Client, a publicly traded metal and mining company, is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their finance group. This role is a 6-12 month contract with potential for permanent placement.
Responsibilities:
- Primary part of this role will be to analyze transactions in the areas of Cost of Goods Sold, Average Costing, Inventory and Transfer Pricing, as well as making journal entries in these areas
- Analyzing inter-company payable and receivable variances and creating inter-company entries/transactions
- Preparation of inter-company sales journal entries
- Preparation of monthly consolidated sales, cost and inventory report package of inter-companies worldwide for management review
- Account reconciliations will also be a large part of this role
- Manipulating large quantities of data in spreadsheets
Candidate Qualifications:
- Must be a designated accountant (CA, CMA, CGA)
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a related role
- Must have experience with Cost of Goods Sold, Inventory, Average Costing, Account Reconciliations
- Must have solid excel skills: V-lookups and pivot tables
- Must have experience with ORACLE
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
