FINANCIAL ANALYST
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $57,000 - $67,000 (dependant on experience)
Location: GTA
Reports to: Manager, Business Analysis, Retail
The Opportunity
Our client is one of the largest, most-dynamic food group companies in Canada. The company produces packaged food and beverages under several respected, well known brands. As a member of the finance team, the Financial Analyst will fully participate in the analysis, evaluation and reporting of the Company’s Retail business results. The Financial Analyst will provide support in preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual plans.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc analysis relating to Customer and Product profitability, and HQR reporting
- Provide support to Sales and Marketing teams with financial and business evaluations on new product launches and post assessment, sku rationalization, new business / contract negotiations and other major business initiatives
- Participate in and support the completion of Latest Estimate Forecasts and Annual Planning preparation
- Assist with completion and analysis of month-end results, monthly reporting packages and account reconciliations
- Special projects as assigned
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Must have an accounting designation, preferably CMA or CGA
- Must have at least 3 years experience as a Financial Analyst with similar responsibilities
- Must have 2 - 5 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in SAP and/or MRP environment an asset
- Strong analytical, communication and computer skills
- Ability to drive change in a fast paced, ever changing work and business environment
- Individual must be a team player
