CONSOLIDATIONS SPECIALIST, 3 - 6 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION
Start Date: ASAP (3 - 6 month contract with potential to go longer and/or permanent)
Pay Rate: $40 - $50/hour (dependant on experience)
Location: Toronto
Reports to: Director, Financial Reporting
The Opportunity
Our client, a large publicly traded company, is seeking a CA for a 3 - 6 month contract for their consolidations group. The successful candidate will be part of a 4 person group and will be reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of consolidation entries and prepare consolidation entries for over 30 companies (prepare working papers for complex entries, including intercompany eliminations, minority interest entries etc.. – that will be entered into Hyperion)
- Perform monthly and quarterly analysis of entries
- Perform research in CICA handbook for various accounting standards / issues
- Ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications
- Must possess a Canadian CA designation
- Must have hands on experience performing consolidation entries
- Must have excellent Excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables
- Experience with Hyperion would be an asset
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of US GAAP would be an asset
