GTAJOB DESCRIPTION:
The SSC (Shared Services Center) Bilingual Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for special projects in accounts payable, training and development of staff to ensure competence and capability to provide world class customer service, development of AP process and training manual, reporting packages, compliance monitoring, process reevaluation for efficiency and effectiveness, etc. The SSC Manager will assist in managing a team of approximately 10 AP coordinators. Applicant requires accounting degree/certificate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership and direction to the staff to ensure competence and capability to provide world class accounting
- Managing cash flow and daily reporting
- Working with banker and IT team to resolve issues
- Ensuring accountability for SSC Service Level and month end reporting and compliance with company accounting policies and US GAAP
- Maintaining internal controls that ensures the integrity of financial information and safeguarding the organizations assets
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and complete assigned projects by defined due dates
- Implement and maintain effective processes including technology applications to satisfy financial reporting information as required
- Leading organizational cost reduction initiatives and assesses opportunities to expand services to business line leaders
- Performing special projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES
- Bilingual is a must;
- Accounting certificate or completed 2nd level CGA accounting courses;
- Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial focus;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- A highly energetic self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good Excel and PowerPoint skills;
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a management role with strong accounting concepts;
- Strong work ethic and flexible work hours;
- Willingness to travel within and outside of the country
