Bilingual Accountant
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 (dependant on experience)
Location: GTA
Reports to: Accounting Supervisor
The Accountant will report to the Accounting Supervisor and be a key member of the finance team.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of supporting schedules for the monthly financial package.
- Preparation of internal financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and policies and procedures.
- Preparation of various financial analyses for management.
- Provide support to business units throughout Canada.
- Review of account reconciliations. Preparation of account reconciliations for certain higher risk accounts.
- Creation and review of various journal entries.
- Manage the accounting of fixed assets.
- Assist on special projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Bilingual language skills in English and French preferred
- Oracle and Discoverer experience preferred
- Strong MS Excel Skills
- FAS experience preferred
- Minimum 3-7 years of professional service industry preferred, including a thorough understanding of the following general accounting areas:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Fixed Assets
- Intercompany
- Month End Reporting / Close Cycle
